Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide
Your adventure begins in the heart of town, across from the Gun Store and Hospital, and in front of the Trading Hut. Start by shedding any excess loot and arming yourself. I recommend a Rifle for its balance of cost and firepower. At just $75, it's a solid choice for fending off enemies, at least initially. Don't forget to stock up on coal to fuel your boat's old-school engine.

Your next destination is 10,000 meters away. Simply kickstart your boat and set sail. While you can stop to take out Zombies and Drowned for loot, it's not always worth it due to the sparse rewards in roadside houses. To restart the ship, just add more coal. Ignore the worm on the right side for now. Wait until you reach the second safe zone to sell your loot, but stay vigilant against Big Foot and Zombie mobs on both sides of the river.

After the second safe zone, you'll face burning buildings teeming with enemies. It's best to clear these with friends, as solo efforts can be inefficient due to scattered spawn points. Around 12,000 meters, you'll find a castle-like house filled with Drowned but also stocked with Shotgun ammo and valuable loot. Use these resources wisely.

Dead Sails Kraken Tips and Tricks
The core gameplay loop is straightforward: kill, loot, repeat, and hope your enemies fall quickly. To optimize your gameplay, treat your boat as your main inventory. Empty your bag when you return to save time and space.

A key strategy I found effective is stacking Zombies near the incinerator. Though you might want to rush out of those backwater towns, efficient loot stacking will benefit you greatly. Running low on fuel? Just toss a few Zombies into the incinerator to get back on track.

Another useful tip is to be cautious in Sheriff's offices. These areas often have a higher concentration of mobs, but they're also rich in weapons and ammo. I managed to keep my shotgun well-stocked by having a friend clear the ground floor while we explored each town.

Save your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress at around 25,000 meters. It's still under construction, making it vulnerable to ambushes. I recommend tackling this with at least three people, ideally five. Be efficient in collecting loot.

Avoid engaging Big Feet after 30,000 meters. They're extremely tough and require a lot of ammo to defeat safely. Plan your stops carefully; remember, loot isn't everything.
The town at 50,000 meters is one of my favorite farming spots, boasting at least two dozen Drowned and Zombies. If you have friends with Shotguns or a Sawnoff, it's an efficient way to gather corpses for fuel. Coordinate with your team to prepare bodies for loading quickly.

In the final safe zone, sell all your loot and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't underestimate the Zombies and Drowned; ensure you have a stash of at least 8-10 corpses for fuel during the final stretch. At around 100,000 meters, you'll reach open waters and be ready to face the beast. The sign of its approach is the darkening skies.

As the Kraken emerges, everyone must pick a tentacle to attack. The boss has substantial health, and each tentacle can cause damage if not repelled. With five people on board, form a pentagram-like shape and focus on your assigned tentacle.

Be cautious of the water splash ability, which deals area-of-effect damage. It's telegraphed by the Kraken winding back and creating a water trail with its tentacle. Use medkits liberally, as some damage is unavoidable.

Lastly, watch out for the Roar AoE, which causes minor damage and seems to give the boss a slight damage buff. You'll see it as white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle.

As you can see, defeating the Kraken is challenging but manageable with the right strategy. That's all for my Dead Sails Kraken Guide. To speed up your progress even further, use one of our Dead Sails codes. Good luck and smooth sailing!
