As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the final week dubbed "Final Strike: GO Battle Week" is set to commence on May 21st, 2025, and will last until May 27th. This week is your ultimate opportunity to bring your Kubfu to its full potential, evolving it into the legendary Urshifu in two distinct styles.
What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?
After weeks of dedication, the time has come to evolve the determined Kubfu into the legendary Urshifu. You have the choice of two forms: Single Strike or Rapid Strike, depending on your battling style. To unlock Single Strike, make Kubfu your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For Rapid Strike, follow the same steps but target 30 Water-type Pokémon during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week.
Additionally, a Special Research task that continues the ongoing Seasonal storyline will be available until June 3rd, 2025. Completing it will reward you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon such as Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.
May 25th Is a Special Day
Mark your calendars for May 25th, the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, you can participate in six-star Max Battles featuring the debut of Gigantamax Machamp. During this event, enjoy a range of bonuses designed to enhance your gameplay.
You'll need to travel only one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles, and your Max Particle storage limit will increase to 1,600. All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles, and you'll receive 8× Max Particles from these battles during the event window. Plus, you'll have the chance to make two extra Special Trades.
Don’t miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple mushrooms to extend the timer, although the power boost remains consistent.
