While most of these encounters are straightforward, some, such as the Knight in a Storm, can be particularly tricky due to their specific mechanics. If you're aiming to unlock all the chests and maximize your rewards, understanding and mastering these mechanics is crucial.
How to Finish Dream Patrol: Knight in a Storm
You can locate the Knight in a Storm Dream Patrol at the Shores of Last Breath area within the Fagaceae Peninsula, east of Ragunna City. Look for the crossed swords icon on your map, which becomes visible after activating the Resonance Nexus in the region. The quickest route to this location is by teleporting to the nearby Tacet Field, known for dropping the new Sonata set for Carlotta builds. Note that access to this area is only available after completing the "Where Wind Returns to Celestial Realms" quest.
The Questless Knight in this Dream Patrol behaves similarly to other knights in the Rinascita region, making the combat itself manageable. However, to fully complete the challenge and secure all rewards, you must meet the following objectives:
- Reach Battle Rank S for more than 10 seconds: Elevate your Battle Rank by executing perfect dodges, parries, and utilizing your abilities, including Intro/Outro skills.
- Perform 3 Counterattacks that interrupt the knight's weapon enhancement: When the knight's weapon is buffed, parry its attacks to successfully counter.
- Immobilize an enemy with Resonance Liberation DMG: Deploy your character's ultimate to stun the knight, which involves depleting the white bar beneath its health bar.
Countering the Knight's Enhanced Weapon
During the battle, the knight will summon three swords and choose one to enhance its weapon. This enhancement triggers aerial lunge attacks, presenting the perfect opportunity for counterattacks. When the parry indicators over the knight align, strike with one of your attacks to execute a successful counter. You need to perform this counter three times to complete the challenge.
If you're playing as Carlotta in Wuthering Waves, you can effectively parry the knight's attacks using her jump attack or any rifle shot. Carlotta can fire rifle shots during her Resonance Liberation and whenever she has stacks of Molded Crystal, indicated by the crystal-shaped icon next to her.
