The War – A Card Game with Simple Rules for Everyone

The War is a classic card game from childhood that almost everyone has played at some point. The rules are incredibly straightforward: cards are distributed equally among all players, and in each round, they play the top card of their deck. The player with the higher-ranked card wins both cards and places them at the bottom of their own deck. If two players reveal cards of equal rank, a "war" occurs. In this scenario, each player lays down three additional cards—two face-down followed by one face-up—and the highest-ranking final card determines the winner of that round. To claim victory, you must collect all 52 cards in the deck.

Cards are ranked from lowest to highest: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack (J), Queen (Q), King (K), and Ace (A). There is one unique exception to this rule: a six beats an ace.
