Learn to read by focusing on the sounds of letters rather than their names.

Reading begins with phonemic awareness—the ability to recognize and reproduce individual sounds. The second key player in a child's learning journey is the adult guiding them. With gentle support and interactive exercises, adults can help children observe mouth movements and understand how to shape sounds correctly.

To begin, we introduce a set of simple alphabet letters—those that are easiest to learn—using them to form animal names and common everyday words. In this method, the sound of the letter is used, not its name.

Initially, adults should practice together with the child, keeping in mind that reading is a gradual process. Once the child becomes familiar with the application, they can explore it independently, while the adult returns periodically for shared practice sessions.

Over time, move on to the “Discover the Word” section and engage the child in structured activities:

1- Ask the child to say the sound of each letter in the word [ttpp].

2- After practicing for a while, ask: What did you say?

3- Avoid telling the child the word they formed.

Repeat this exercise, encouraging the child to blend the letter sounds more quickly. As they progress, reduce the pause between each sound. Resist the urge to reveal the word until the child realizes it themselves. One day, when asked What did you say?, the child may respond: I said [ttpp]! At that moment, celebrate! The child has taken their first step into reading.

As time passes, you’ll likely notice growing curiosity, with the child eager to "sound out" every word they encounter. This is the ideal stage to slowly introduce more complex patterns, such as the letter C, which can have different sounds (soft as in city or hard as in car), depending on the surrounding letters. Other letters and rules will be introduced gradually. Keep in mind that each child learns at their own pace—respect their journey.
