- Brawl Stars is teaming up with Toy Story, the iconic Pixar film series
- New costumes themed after characters from the franchise are included
- Meanwhile, a new (temporary) Brawler lands in the form of Buzz Lightyear
It seemed that, once Supercell started leaning into the collaboration angle arguably with footballer Erling Haaland, it was inevitable they would leap into it full throttle. And the latest Supercell property to get hit by the crossover bat is a big one as Toy Story arrives in Brawl Stars!
Even if you didn't grow up with them (or have kids who watched them obsessively) you'll likely know of Pixar's Toy Story. The iconic animated film franchise has been going for years now, and still holds the landmark position as one of the first full 3D animated features ever.
Toy Story's arrival in Brawl Stars brings new cosmetic items, with Colt Woody, Bo Beep Bibi, Jessie Jessie and Surge Lightyear. And speaking of Lightyear, Buzz himself will be making his debut today and will remain available for play from December 12th until February 4th!

Buzz himself will be a limited-time release, and not playable in ranked, but boasts a powerful repertoire of skills. Whether that's zapping opponents with his laser or (finally) being able to fly into battle. He'll debut as the first unlockable reward of the Brawliday calendar, itself a neat little addition for the holiday period.
You can check out all the details on the Toy Story x Brawl Stars collab on Supercell's official blog. But I think overall this is as straightforward as you can get. What's interesting is that it paints a strange picture of Brawl Stars' target audience. Toy Story is popular with kids, sure, but I doubt you'd find anyone over the age of 20 who didn't watch at least one of them.
It's a win-win scenario to appeal to both younger players and nostalgic older brawlers then. No surprise Supercell's on the collab train if all can be as mutually beneficial as this.
And while you're here, might we humbly suggest you take a gander at our list of the top Brawl Stars brawlers, ranked, before you leap in?
