Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta Testing: Dates and Details Revealed!
Activision's official Call of Duty podcast has confirmed the beta testing dates for the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Get ready to jump into the action! Here's everything you need to know to participate.
Two-Phase Beta Access
The Black Ops 6 multiplayer beta will launch in two phases:
- Early Access (August 30th - September 4th): Available to those who pre-ordered Black Ops 6 or have active subscriptions to select Game Pass plans.
- Open Beta (September 6th - 9th): Free for everyone!

Game Launch and Platforms
The full game releases on October 25th, 2024, for PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
New Gameplay Mechanics and Features
Treyarch's associate director of design, Matt Scronce, revealed exciting details during the podcast:
- Multiplayer Maps: Black Ops 6 will launch with 16 multiplayer maps—12 standard 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps playable in 6v6 or 2v2 modes.
- Zombies Mode Returns: The popular Zombies mode is back with two new maps.
- Omnimovement: A new movement mechanic is being introduced.
- Traditional Scorestreaks: The classic scorestreak system returns, resetting upon player elimination.
- Dedicated Melee Weapon Slot: A dedicated slot for melee weapons eliminates the need to sacrifice a secondary weapon.
A full multiplayer reveal is scheduled for the Call of Duty Next event on August 28th. Don't miss it!
