CrazyGames is set to launch its Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 this week, marking a thrilling 10-day event for indie developers worldwide. Running from April 25th to May 5th, this game development marathon is being hosted in collaboration with Photon, the leading provider of multiplayer services. The jam invites developers to create innovative web-based multiplayer games, offering them a chance to win a share of €10,000 in cash prizes and premium Photon licenses. These include a year-long 500 CCU with Circle Starter valued at €7,500, a 500 CCU license worth €1,500, and a 100 CCU license at €100.
The only stringent requirements for the event are that games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers are encouraged to let their creativity soar. Founded in 2014, CrazyGames has become the go-to platform for free online gaming, leveraging HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGL technologies to deliver seamless gaming experiences. During the jam, CrazyGames will provide support and offer the opportunity for winning games to be showcased on their platform.
To kick things off, a pre-jam livestream is scheduled for April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn. This event will offer insights into two new WebGL platforms: Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, highlighted the significance of these platforms, stating, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all skill levels. For more details and to register, visit the official jam page.
