In the latest financial report from Thunderful Group, which has faced multiple rounds of layoffs, an intriguing update on the much-anticipated cyberpunk platformer, Replaced, has come to light. The report reveals that gamers will have to wait until 2026 to experience the game, marking yet another delay in its release schedule.

Initially, Replaced was slated for a 2022 launch, which was later postponed to 2023, and then to 2024. Developers at Sad Cat Studios had previously announced a delay to 2025, describing the game's development as a "unique challenge." Despite these setbacks, the studio remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering a high-quality product, spurred by the significant attention and high expectations from the gaming community.

First unveiled in 2021 during Microsoft's presentation at the now-defunct E3 exhibition, Replaced has been on the radar of many fans ever since. While Sad Cat Studios has not yet commented on the most recent delay to 2026, they have kept the community engaged with periodic updates. This summer, for instance, they shared new combat footage and introduced a mini-game, keeping the excitement alive among eager players.
