Nearly three decades since its theatrical debut, Paul W.S. Anderson's cult classic Event Horizon is receiving an official prequel. IDW Publishing recently announced Event Horizon: Dark Descent, a five-issue comic series that will shed light on the haunting events preceding the film while revealing the chilling fate of the original Event Horizon crew.

Staying true to the film's hard-R horror roots, EVENT HORIZON: DARK DESCENT #1 (first of five issues) makes its terrifying debut in comic shops this August. This standalone prequel explores the doomed journey of Captain Kilpack and his crew as their spacecraft ventures into unimaginable horrors beyond our dimension. Brace yourself for Paimon, the sightless ruler of damnation, as demonic forces unleash unspeakable torment in this psychologically gruesome tale.
