Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Finding and Selling Them
Path of Exile 2 boasts numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces Golden Idols, unique quest items not automatically logged. Unlike typical quest items, these aren't traded with NPCs to advance a questline; instead, they're valuable commodities. This guide details their locations and how to maximize their worth.
Finding the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3, a portal transports you to Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present), showcasing the Vaal civilization at its zenith. Five Golden Idols are scattered throughout Utzaal and the connected area, Aggorat. They aren't enemy drops; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals in side rooms.

Cashing In Your Idols
Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and sell them to Oswald (located in the north). He's the only vendor who accepts these items. The payout for each is:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Collecting all five yields a substantial 6000 Gold. Given their size and sole purpose as valuable sellables, it's advisable to sell them immediately to free up inventory space.
