GTA 5 Enhanced Edition Joins Xbox Game Pass for PC in 2 Weeks

Authore: HarperUpdate:Apr 25,2025

Microsoft is set to add Rockstar Games' blockbuster, Grand Theft Auto 5, to Xbox Game Pass, along with the enhanced version for PC Game Pass, starting April 15. This major announcement was made through an Xbox Wire post, highlighting GTA 5 as the standout title in the Wave 1 April 2025 lineup. The excitement is particularly high for PC players, as they'll get to experience the newly released Enhanced update from early March.

The latest update, Oscar Guzman Flies Again, will be accessible across all versions, allowing players to take control of the McKenzie Field Hanger in Grapeseed. This update introduces new arms trafficking missions and a variety of new aircraft to explore.

The return of GTA 5 to Game Pass after its previous removal is a significant event, especially marking its debut on PC Game Pass. However, it's not all smooth sailing for fans. The Enhanced update, which rolled out on PC on March 4, brought new vehicles, performance enhancements at Hao’s Special Works, animal encounters, and visual improvements. Despite these additions, the update led to GTA 5 becoming Rockstar's worst-reviewed title on Steam due to ongoing issues with account migration for GTA Online profiles.

Newcomers to Los Santos should have a seamless experience, but those looking to migrate their GTA Online accounts to the Enhanced version may face challenges as the migration issues persist.

In other news, anticipation continues to build for Grand Theft Auto 6. While Rockstar has indicated a fall release, fans are still eagerly awaiting a concrete release date.

As Rockstar addresses the challenges with GTA 5's Game Pass return, you can explore the rest of the Wave 1 April 2025 titles coming to Xbox Game Pass. Additionally, Rockstar is supporting the modding community by providing access to official tools, enhancing the gaming experience for many players.
