Guide: Helping Miners in KCD2's Post Scriptum Quest

Authore: HazelUpdate:Apr 25,2025

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the choices you make during the Post Scriptum side quest significantly impact your experience, especially when deciding whether to help the miners. Here's a detailed guide to help you navigate this quest effectively.

How to Start Post Scriptum in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Starting Post Scriptum Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 To begin the Post Scriptum quest, you need to reach the Kuttenberg region. Once there, locate the tavern just west of Kuttenberg city along the road. Speak to the NPC named Kvyertsolav at the tavern to initiate the quest. This quest involves crafting a letter for the miners, but be prepared for some unexpected developments.

Write the Letter

Head to the designated house in Kuttenberg to assist Kvyertsolav in writing the letter. Upon entering, choose the dialogue option, "Justice is worth more than silver." When composing the letter, you have the flexibility to refine it, leave it as is, or make it more aggressive and concise. Regardless of your approach, the letter's impact remains the same.

After completing the letter, the miners may attempt to kill you. You can avoid this fate by passing a Speech check, convincing them to spare you.

Should You Turn the Miners Over to the Baliff?

If you successfully navigate the miners' threat, you'll face the decision of whether to turn them over to the baliff. Doing so will abruptly end the quest, earning you a modest reward of 100 groschen. However, this isn't the optimal outcome, as it neither maximizes your reward nor aids the miners. It's advisable to proceed with the letter to Markold instead.

Should You Help Markold or the Miners?

Deciding Between Markold and the Miners in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Your next move is to visit the shaft owner's residence. After speaking with the bodyguard, you'll be allowed upstairs to deliver the letter to Markold. Here, you have three choices: blackmail Markold, deliver the letter as intended, or collaborate with him against the miners. Blackmailing him is not recommended due to the challenging Speech check and immediate quest conclusion.

If you decide to assist Markold, you'll be tasked with eliminating three miners, earning a meager 60 groschen. This is the least favorable outcome.

The recommended course of action is to side with the miners. Hand the letter over to Markold as planned, receive seven groschen, and then proceed to meet the miners north of the city. At the camp, engage with Myslibor, and when Markold attacks, defend the miners. Successfully aiding them against Markold will net you 160 groschen and contribute to improving their working conditions.
