How To Get Paradisan Ladder in Avowed

-------------------------------------

There are five primary ways to obtain Paradisan Ladder in *Avowed*: purchasing from Merilyn the merchant in Paradise, discovering it while exploring, receiving it as a reward from side quests, breaking down items that already contain it, and downgrading Hylea’s Talon into Paradisan Ladder.

Merylin the Merchant

Visiting Merilyn in South Paradise, as shown on the map above, is the fastest and most reliable way to get Paradisan Ladder. Upon your first encounter, she'll share her rivalry with her blacksmith sister before allowing you to browse her inventory. Merilyn stocks five units of Paradisan Ladder, each priced at 150 coins. Additionally, she offers two unique items—the Many-Hued Doublet light armor and the Common Grimoire of Elements—which can be broken down to yield two units of Paradisan Ladder each.

It's important to note that Merilyn's inventory doesn't restock once sold out, even after a day's rest at a party camp. However, visiting her remains the best option for quick upgrades.

While exploring *Avowed's* wild areas and cities like Paradis, keep an eye out for the plant icon on your mini-map, marked with a red circle in the image above. Paradisan Ladder can be found among other plant types, and collecting them as you progress through quests is an excellent way to build your stockpile without spending a coin.

Side Quests

*Avowed* encourages players to engage in side quests, not only for the experience and additional rewards but also as a means to acquire Paradisan Ladder. For instance, the early side quest "Escape Plan" rewards you with crafting materials, including two units of Paradisan Ladder. This method may require some extra effort, but it's rewarding in multiple ways.

Breaking Down Items

In *Avowed*, breaking down upgraded items at your party camp workbench can recover core crafting materials like Paradisan Ladder. If you've used it to enhance an item, like a Common Sword, you can break it down to reclaim some of the material for future use. Also, check merchants' inventories for unique items that can be broken down for Paradisan Ladder, as highlighted in their item descriptions.
