When it comes to iconic female fighting game characters, three names instantly come to mind: Nina Williams, Chun-Li, and Mai Shiranui. Although Nina and Chun-Li have previously clashed in Street Fighter x Tekken, fans won't see their interaction in the near future. However, this is not the case for Mai Shiranui, who is set to join Street Fighter 6 as a new guest character. It seems far from coincidental that the developers have chosen to pit Mai against none other than Chun-Li in her gameplay trailer.
Mai's gameplay trailer showcases several of her signature moves, and her super move looks absolutely stunning. It's clear that Mai is poised to become a highly popular character within Street Fighter 6. Unfortunately, fans eager to try her out will have to wait a bit longer, as Capcom has announced that Mai won't be available until February 5. That means we have a three-week wait ahead of us.
While we count down the days, we hope the Street Fighter 6 team will keep us engaged with more exciting content to tide us over until Mai's arrival.
