My Father Lied, a point-and-click adventure game by solo developer Ahmed Alameen, launches May 30th. Unravel the mystery surrounding your father's disappearance in this narrative-driven puzzler inspired by Mesopotamian history.
Play as Huda, a young woman who begins investigating her father's twenty-year-old disappearance after discovering a previously unknown brother. Alameen, initially a narrative designer on a collaborative project, took on game design himself after the team dissolved.
Solve puzzles using point-and-click mechanics, piecing together images, deciphering codes, and exploring evocative environments. Alameen cites Myst, Heaven's Vault, and H.P. Lovecraft as inspirations for the game's style and atmosphere. A blend of 2D and 360-degree images, including hand-crafted cutscenes, ensures high-quality visuals even on less powerful PCs.
My Father Lied will be available on May 30th for $10.99/€ on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam (add to your wishlist now!). Mobile pre-registration isn't yet available. Follow Lunar Games on X, Discord, TikTok, and Instagram for updates, and watch for the upcoming Kickstarter campaign.
