Star Wars Celebration has provided an exciting first glimpse of Rory McCann stepping into the role of Baylan Skoll for Season 2 of Ahsoka. Following the tragic passing of Ray Stevenson, who originally portrayed Baylan, McCann is set to continue the character's journey. Although we haven't seen McCann in action yet, the Ahsoka panel at Star Wars Celebration shared an exclusive first-look image, which you can view below.

Ray Stevenson, known for his roles in Thor, RRR, Punisher: War Zone, Rome, and more, sadly passed away from a brief illness just three months before Ahsoka's premiere. His performance as Baylan Skoll was widely regarded as a highlight of the series.

Ahsoka's creator, Dave Filoni, spoke about the significant challenge of losing Ray Stevenson, describing him as "the most beautiful person on screen and off." Filoni and the team also teased what fans can look forward to in Season 2, revealing that Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker, joined by characters like Admiral Ackbar, Zeb, Chopper, and others.

In our review of Ahsoka's first season, we noted that the series "struggles initially as it tries to bring viewers up to speed on characters and concepts from Dave Filoni’s animated Star Wars shows. However, once the actors and the cosmic plots are given room to breathe, Ahsoka strikes a fantastic balance of rich lore, humor, and epic battles, evoking the essence of classic Star Wars while also charting new territory."
