I dive deep into the game whenever a fresh set drops, driven by the thrill of earning Emblems for achieving around 40 wins. Once that goal is met, my engagement shifts to a more casual pace—I log in daily to open packs, enjoy a Wonder Pick for the fun of it, and then go about my day. This cycle is set to restart with the launch of the upcoming expansion, Shining Revelry, on March 27th.
Shining Revelry will enrich Pokemon TCG Pocket with 110 new cards, featuring a delightful assortment of new Ex Pokemon, Trainers, and the stunning art cards fans adore. The most thrilling addition, hinted at by the expansion's name, is the inclusion of Shiny Pokemon. These are unique, differently colored versions of beloved Pokemon characters. Imagine seeing Lucario in yellow instead of its traditional blue, or Pachirisu adorned with a striking pink stripe.
The trailer, which you can view below, teases just a glimpse of what's to come, so let's take a closer look. A new Shiny Charizard Ex is set to make an entrance with 180 HP and a powerful attack called Steam Artillery, dealing a massive 150 damage. However, it requires a hefty five energy. Thankfully, its other move, Stoke, allows you to attach three Fire Energy cards at once, easing the energy cost burden.
Lucario also steps into the spotlight with a new Ex version, shifting from a support role in the previous Space-Time Smackdown expansion to a frontline fighter. With 150 HP and the attack Aura Sphere, which deals 100 damage for three Fighting Energy and an additional 30 to one of your opponent's Benched Pokemon, Lucario is ready to make an impact.
The trailer also showcases other cards that might not shake the meta but are certainly eye-catching. Shiny versions of Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are on the horizon, each with their own unique flair. And for collectors, there's a beautifully designed Tatsugiri art rare that I'm eager to add to my digital collection.
