Silksong Developer Reaffirms Release for Original Switch
Following Silksong's brief appearance at the Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 on April 2, many fans speculated that the game might bypass the current-generation console and launch directly on the next-generation platform. Initially announced in 2019 for PC and the original Nintendo Switch, Silksong was later confirmed for PlayStation and Xbox consoles by developer Team Cherry.
To address fans' concerns about the game's platform availability, Team Cherry's Marketing and PR Handler, Matthew Griffin, took to Twitter (X) on April 8. Griffin confirmed that Silksong will indeed be released on both the original Nintendo Switch and the Switch 2.
While there are no official details yet on how these versions might differ, players can anticipate that the game will benefit from higher resolutions and enhanced features on the Switch 2.
New Silksong Images Revealed
Following the Nintendo Direct for Switch 2, new images of Silksong appeared on Nintendo Japan's official website. Although the settings in these images have been seen before, fans have pointed out some graphical enhancements compared to the visuals showcased in 2019.
