Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio is Ubisoft Japan’s Most Popular Character

Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the iconic Assassin's Creed protagonist, has emerged victorious in Ubisoft Japan's recent Character Awards! This online competition, celebrating Ubisoft Japan's three decades of success, saw fans vote for their top three favorite characters across all Ubisoft titles. The voting period, which ran from November 1st, 2024, concluded with Ezio securing the top spot.

To celebrate Ezio's win, Ubisoft Japan has unveiled a dedicated webpage featuring the character in a unique artistic style, along with four free downloadable wallpapers (available for PCs and smartphones). Furthermore, a lucky 30 fans will receive a special Ezio acrylic stand set, while 10 exceptionally fortunate individuals will win a massive 180cm Ezio body pillow!

The top ten characters were announced on Ubisoft Japan's official website and X (formerly Twitter). Aiden Pearce from Watch Dogs claimed second place, followed by Edward Kenway from Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag in third.

  • 1st: Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood, Liberation)
  • 2nd: Aiden Pearce (Watch Dogs)
  • 3rd: Edward James Kenway (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag)
  • 4th: Bayek (Assassin's Creed Origins)
  • 5th: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad (Assassin's Creed)
  • 6th: Wrench (Watch Dogs)
  • 7th: Pagan Min (Far Cry)
  • 8th: Eivor Varinsdottir (Assassin's Creed: Valhalla)
  • 9th: Kassandra (Assassin's Creed Odyssey)
  • 10th: Aaron Keener (The Division 2)

In a related poll, the Assassin's Creed franchise itself also secured first place, outperforming Rainbow Six Siege and Watch Dogs. The Division series came in fourth, with Far Cry rounding out the top five.
