A Universe Truly for Sale?
The game unfolds on a Jupiter space station, a bizarre marketplace shrouded in acid rain and mystery. Orangutans with surprising wit work the docks alongside cultists bartering flesh for enlightenment. The universe itself is for sale, thanks to Lila, a woman with the extraordinary ability to create universes from her very hand.
The game begins in the ramshackle mining colony shantytown. You play as the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment – a character both unsettling and intriguing.
Exploring the dilapidated colony, with its quirky tea shops and other oddities, leads you to Honin's Tea House, Lila's shop. Lila's enigmatic nature slowly unfolds as you switch between her perspective and the Master's throughout the game.
Playing as Lila involves creating universes in a captivating mini-game, mixing and matching ingredients to generate mesmerizing visual worlds. Meanwhile, the Master's journey delves into the philosophies of the Cult of Detachment and encounters with the Church of Many Gods.
The narrative unfolds gradually, prompting players to theorize about the overarching mystery. Each character, whether human, skeletal, or robotic, possesses a unique story, and the richly detailed world invites exploration.
