Where Winds Meet, the upcoming open-world Wuxia action-adventure from Everstone Studios, will be a PlayStation 5 console exclusive for its first six months.
This confirmation comes from a new video published on the PlayStation YouTube channel (a multiplatform version of the trailer is available below). Along with a glimpse into the game’s storyline, the end of the teaser clarified that Where Winds Meet is a timed PS5 console exclusive for "at least six months." The title is also set to launch on mobile and PC.

As for the official release date, details remain limited for now—only a tentative "coming 2025" has been shared. However, publisher NetEase has announced that the final test phase will begin on July 25, available on both PC and PS5. This test introduces a new urban region called Kaifeng, previously unavailable in earlier builds. Interested players can sign up via the official registration link. While no pre-order bonuses have been announced yet, wishlisting is now open.
Where Winds Meet originally launched on PC in China in late 2024, followed by a mobile release in 2025. Set during the Ten Kingdoms Era amid warring dynasties, players step into the role of a swordsman whose choices significantly shape the conflict. The game draws heavily from Wuxia, a genre of Chinese fiction portraying ancient martial artists with extraordinary abilities.
In an earlier Where Winds Meet preview from August 2023, we experienced firsthand its unique blend of Zelda and The Witcher-inspired gameplay, as well as the vast array of in-game systems, choices, and possibilities.
As for Sony, the company is aiming to replicate the massive success of Black Myth Wukong, which launched on Xbox Series X and S this August—one year after its debut on PC and PS5.
