Nintendo Switch 2 au Japon privilégie les cartes de jeu, s'alignant sur l'Occident

Des rapports récents indiquent que presque toutes les versions physiques tierces de la Nintendo Switch 2 au Japon sont des Cartes-Clefs de Jeu, les marchés occidentaux suivant cette tendance.

Selon Gematsu, les précommandes au Japon révèlent qu'à l'exception de Cyberpunk 2077 par CD Projekt, tous les jeux physiques tiers nécessitent un téléchargement via des Cartes-Clefs de Jeu plutôt que de contenir le jeu complet.

Cette tendance se poursuit à l'international. Les titres Sega sur Switch 2, dont Sonic X Shadow Generations (comme confirmé par les fiches Walmart), adoptent également le format Carte-Clef de Jeu.

Actuellement, seuls quatre jeux physiques tiers sur Switch 2 échappent à ce modèle : Cyberpunk 2077, Daemon X Machina : Titanic Scion, Rune Factory : Guardians of Azuma, et No Sleep For Kaname Date - From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES Aiba Edition.

Nintendo avait précédemment confirmé que certaines cartouches Switch 2 contiendraient des clés de téléchargement plutôt que des jeux complets, bien que les titres d'édition Switch 2 incluent à la fois le jeu de base et ses mises à niveau sur le support physique.

Daniel Ahmad, Directeur de la Recherche chez Niko Partners, avertit que ce modèle de distribution pourrait submerger les serveurs de l'eShop de Nintendo lors du lancement mondial simultané en juin, lorsque les joueurs se précipiteront pour télécharger leurs achats.
