Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for an event you won't want to miss! The Sweet Discoveries event is rolling out, featuring the exciting debut of Applin. Whether you're a collector or on the hunt for shiny Pokémon, this event promises a sweet adventure for all.
When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
Mark your calendars! The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and continues until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. This is your chance to encounter Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region, making its much-anticipated debut in Pokémon GO.
To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. If you're aiming for Appletun, the same amount of candies but 20 Sweet Apples are required. For the final evolution into Dipplin, and ultimately Hydrapple, you'll follow the same path of evolution.
Here’s a tip about the Apples: they're crucial for evolution and can be found in the wild. By tapping on them, you might discover a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Increase your chances of finding these Apples by using Mossy Lure Modules.
Did You Know?
Applin is quite the unique Pokémon, spending its entire life inside an apple to hide from its natural enemies, bird Pokémon. It's an adorable addition to the Pokémon GO roster and a must-catch during the Sweet Discoveries event.
Speaking of the event, new avatar items will be available in the shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. Plus, enjoy the bonus of earning 2× Candy for every Pokémon you catch during the event.
Your chances of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild are heightened, and there's an increased likelihood of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.
A delightful twist to the event includes berries dropped by Delibird and Skwovet upon capture. So, if you haven't already, grab Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and dive into the Sweet Discoveries event.
