Blizzard has recently provided new details about the in-game housing system coming to *World of Warcraft: Midnight*. Although the expansion is slated to launch post-*The War Within* as part of the Worldsoul saga, early previews indicate a level of customization that exceeds many players' expectations.
A developer blog showcased in-game videos demonstrating the furniture placement mechanics. The system utilizes a grid for item alignment with automatic snapping features, allowing players to adorn larger objects like shelves or tables with smaller accessories that remain attached when repositioned.
The housing system offers two distinct modes: a Basic Mode designed for straightforward organization, and an Advanced Mode tailored for creative builders. In Advanced Mode, players gain the ability to rotate objects on all three axes and stack them in innovative ways, facilitating the creation of intricate and visually appealing interiors.

A notable feature is the capability to scale objects, which caters to different character sizes. This means gnomes can craft cozier spaces, while larger races like tauren can design more expansive layouts. Additionally, certain pieces of furniture specifically designed for the housing system will allow for recoloring, although legacy assets might not support this feature.
With *Midnight* still months away, Blizzard keeps the community engaged and enthusiastic by teasing upcoming content, ensuring players remain excited about the game’s future developments.
